Responsibilities

The Senior IT Support Specialist is responsible for delivering advanced technical support and troubleshooting services to end-users across the credit union. Advanced technical support includes desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and related systems, with a strong focus on security, compliance, and member service excellence. The Senior IT Support Specialist serves as a key escalation point for complex technical issues, and will collaborate with IT teams to resolve problems, implement solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The position also involves mentoring staff, maintaining knowledge articles/documentation, and managing IT projects such as hardware refreshes, software rollouts, system patches and upgrades.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • Associates degree is required; or an additional 2 years of related work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Three years’ experience with PC operations with at least two years in a Help Desk environment is required.
  • Must be working towards or have the ability to obtain an advanced Microsoft or Cisco upon start. 
  • A+ certification required.
  • Ability to utilize scripting for deployment of Device Imaging, patches and software.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting language is preferred.
  • Able to work independently with appropriate guidance in a deadline-driven environment
  • Team-oriented and must possess strong integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify problems and offer solutions. 

Physical Demands

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to sit, type and/or view computer monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.
  • Must be able to hear and use a telephone. 
  • Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes.

Work Environment

  • This position is in-person. You’ll thrive in the energetic environment of our HQ and retail stores.
  • As part of your week, you may occasionally travel between various Grow locations.
  • Qualified candidates must live in the Tampa Bay area.
