Responsibilities

The IT Support Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Electronic Services team. Leads, mentors, motivates, empowers and trains team members to ensure departmental deadlines and goals are achieved. Communicates with management concerning the effectiveness and overall performance of the department and makes recommendations that align with strategic direction. The Help Desk provides support to Grow Financial Federal Credit Union employees in the areas of networked desktop computer hardware, software, and peripherals, and other devices. Performs advanced level hardware and software troubleshooting on end user equipment. Coordinates changes to end user workstations and login scripts, pushes applications as necessary using desktop management applications. Ensures that all request tickets are completed in a timely manner and technical documentation is current and constantly reviewed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from an accredited college or university (management or technology discipline with significant computer coursework preferred) required, or an additional four years of related experience required.  
  • Two years of supervisory experience, or five years of related experience that demonstrates progressively increasing levels of responsibility required.
  • Five years of direct end-user contact experience in a help desk or desk side support environment required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems, Windows server platforms, and Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and troubleshooting experience required. 
  • ITIL knowledge and/or certification a plus.
  • Quest/Kace ticketing system experience a plus.
  • Previous experience automating installation of software or mass deployment of desktop computers and software a strong plus.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with credit union personnel and subordinates.
  • Must be able to work independently and maintain tight schedules.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
  • Must be able to sit, type and view computer monitors for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.
  • Must be able to hear and use a telephone.
  • Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position is in-person. You’ll thrive in the energetic environment of our HQ and retail stores.
  • As part of your week, you may occasionally travel between various Grow locations.
  • Qualified candidates must live in the Tampa Bay area.
