    Responsibilities

     

    The duties of the Asset Protection Analyst include detailed review of member accounts to detect and prevent losses that occur from fraudulent and other suspicious activities including, but not limited to, Check Fraud, Plastic Card Fraud, IRS Tax Fraud, Online Banking Account takeover, Loan Fraud, and Identity Theft. Emphasis is placed on daily review and analysis of alerts populated via a Security Information and Event Management system. Other duties include participation in the training and education of credit union members and employees on fraud and related topics. Travels to perform job accountabilities as needed.

     

    Qualifications

     

     

     

    Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Four years work experience required:
      • Work experience must be in a financial related field such as fraud/loss prevention, BSA/AML compliance,collections,teller/branch operations, member (or customer) service or experience servicing plastic card (ATM, debit, credit card) products.
    • Ability to exercise mature judgment and resolve problems quickly and independently
    • Superior communication skills to include: written abilities, presentation skills, active listening, voice quality, grammar, strong interpersonal skills, multi-tasking ability, conflict management and telephone etiquette skills.
    • Strong knowledge of Windows-based PC products, advanced Excel skills required.

     

    Must be able to see, hear, type repetitive keystrokes, and speak English. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Must be able to sit for extended periods
