This position has the overall responsibility of directing all elements related to deposit products & services, credit & debit cards, and ATMs & ITMs within Deposit Services. This includes ensuring the development and implementation of enterprise and departmental strategic objectives and key results. Directing the development and execution of profitable and/or cost-effective solutions that enhance member experiences. Driving innovation and member obsession through products, services, processes, and procedures. Collaborating with interdepartmental peers to ensure cohesiveness across all business units. Overseeing systematic and formalized training for Deposit Services team members and applicable Grow team members. Ensuring that policies and procedures are accurately documented and executed. Additional responsibilities include leading, mentoring, motivating, empowering, and coaching Deposit Services team members.


JOB ACCOUNTABILITY:                                          

  • Drives departmental strategic objectives and key results that are consistent with enterprise strategic objectives and ensures adjustments are made when appropriate
  • Responsible for staying abreast of industry trends, developments, and opportunities
  • Guides the design, development, and deployment of innovative product solutions that enhance member experience, build long-term member relationships, and maintain optimal profitability
  • Establishes metrics to monitor member usage, profitability, and growth
  • Promotes business development activities within Deposit Services and/or indirectly thru appropriate business partners
  • Collaborates with interdepartmental peers to ensure cohesiveness across business units to support overall success of the enterprise
  • Works directly with Deposit Services Administrators to ensure that they are viewed across the enterprise as subject matter experts
  • Monitors work environment and allocation of resources to ensure the highest level of member service and productivity
  • Benchmarks industry processes and procedures to optimize outcomes within Deposit Services
  • Ensures delivery of exceptional member experiences and implementation of competitive products, timely promotions, and effective training
  • Coordinates all internal/external communications and initiatives with appropriate business partners
  • Oversees that departmental processes and procedures maximize effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ensures that policies and procedures are documented and executed accurately and that they maintain compliance with all laws and regulations
  • Ensures that all identified risks for each area within Deposit Services are appropriately mitigated and immediately reports any deviations or newly identified risks to VP/Deposit Services
  • Responsible for budget development and adherence for all areas within Deposit Services
  • Directs all activities of Deposit Services team members; motivates and coaches direct reports
  • Actively supports the GNA and Guiding Principles




Bachelor's degree required and Master’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university plus 5 years’ experience of progressive responsibility and demonstrated achievement with business/retail deposit products/services, credit/debit cards, and/or ATMs in a financial services environment. Seven years of proven leadership skills is required with a focus on delegation, prioritization, accountability, motivation, persuasion, empowerment, and conflict management. Proven ability to negotiate and collaborate with others, initiate actions, adapt to change, make difficult decisions, and accept challenging assignments. Proven ability to make sound decisions and recommendations. Ability to convey thoughts and information across multiple business units including executive team. Ability to lead a collaborative interdepartmental team. Must be an analytical thinker and problem solver as well as possess and display exceptional organizational and communication skills including presentation skills. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines with no/minimal supervision. Sitting, typing, and computer monitor viewing for extended periods required. Must be able to read and speak English fluently. Must be able to see. Must be able to hear and use a telephone. Must be able to type and perform repetitive key strokes. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
